The opportunity to experience the traditional Icelandic Christmas is a priviledge. The traditions are very strong, the feeling of peace and quiet, and yet joyful spirit is unforgettable. In Iceland we have 13 santas, or Yule Lads as they´re often referred to. We offer you several packages to enjoy this fantastic season.

CHRISTMAS IN THE COUNTRYSIDE

An easy hike to look for the Yule Lad´s home, a farmers market and a tour by mountain jeep to Langjökull glaciers is included in the package which is on offer throughout December. Traditional Christmas dinner and the cookies is something to look forward to as country hotel Hekla is known for its cuisine.

CHRISTMAS WITH THE FAMILY Fully booked!

Spend Christmas itself, December 24th and 25th, at Hraunsnef with Brynja and Johann. They will be serving the traditional Christmas dinner and of course "Hangikjöt". This is where you will celebrate the festives in a unique way.

CHRISTMAS AND THE YULE LADS

See the Yule Lads for yourself in Dimmuborgir and bathe in the Myvatn nature baths, visit the Sigurgeirs Bird Museum and stay for 2 nights in Myvatn area. Your breakfast is served in a cowshed coffee house where you can watch the farmers milk the cow.
