Europcar opens 2 temporary locations and BUS BRIDGE because of glacial flood
Europcar in Iceland has decided to enable its customers to maintain travel plans as much as possible by opening two temporary rental locations. One location will be opened at Hrauneyjar Highland Center ( close to mountain road F-208 ) and the other one at the N1 gas station in Kirkjubæjarklaustur on ringroad 1
Customers driving passenger cars and 2wd vehicles can from now on turn in rental cars at either of the above mentioned locations and travel with a large Europcar bus through the Mountain road "Fjallabak Nyrðra" F208 (which is only passable by larger 4x4 vehicles i.e. car groups G, H, I, J & K) and pick-up another car from the Europcar team at the other end of the route.
Please note: Two trips will be scheduled each day starting from both locations at the same time while the ringroad remains unopened.
TimetableMonday July 11th two trips are scheduled. The first trip of the day at 14:00 PM and the second trip at 19:00 PM.
From Tuesday July 12th trips will be every day at 10:30 AM and 15:30 PM while this situation remains.
