"The Ideal Holiday" brochure now carries the Nordic Swan environmental label

The Icelandic Farm Holidays brochure, The Ideal Holiday 2010, is the first product of the printing company Oddi to carry the Nordic Swan environmental label. The Nordic Swan is also known as the Nordic Label and it has validity in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. The brochure is printed in 25.000 copies and its distribution in Europe and elsewhere has begun.

"For us, as a travel agency, an environmental label and certification of our printed material is meaningful and important. When we heard that the printing company Oddi was receiving the Nordic Swan label at the end of 2009, we decided to delay the publishing of our brochure to be able to take part. We want Iceland‘s image to be based on purity and nature, and as promoters of Iceland, we need to set a good example" says Berglind Viktorsdóttir, the quality manager of Icelandic Farm Holidays. IFH is already certified by Green Globe, a worldwide benchmarking and certification program that emphasizes sustainable travel and tourism.
