The cottage is well equipped, with one bedroom (double bed and a bunk bed), sleeping sofa in the living room and extra bed available. Hot pot on the veranda.

Well situated for sightseeing to Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring, Skálholt cathedral and Þingvellir National Park. View of mountain Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull glacier. Traditional farming and guests are welcome to the shed. Beautiful view of montains and interesting walking trails in the neighbourhood. Rich birdlife in Hrosshagavík.

How to find?              By road no. 35

From Selfoss village: Leave Selfoss heading to Reykjavík on road no. 1. After only about 2 km you need to turn right into road no. 35. Stay on road no. 35  for about 35 km and then you need to turn right into the driveway for the farm Hrosshagi 2, about 1 km further you find the farm.

 

From Geysir hot spring area: Leave the area heading to Selfoss on road no. 35.  Stay on road no. 35 (note: after aprox 9 km it takes a left turn) for about 25 km and then you need to turn left into the driveway for the farm Hrosshagi 2, about 1 km further you find the farm.
