Traditional farm, offering rooms with and without private bathroom (extra bed available). The farm animals are near the guesthouse so guests can get familiar to them. Marked walking trails in the area.
From the farm is a road to the glacier Sólheimajökull (6 km). Snowmobile tours on the glacier Mýrdalsjökull in the neighbourhood (10 km). Ice climbing on Sólheimajökull glacier and a boat-trip by Dyrhólaey.
The farm is well situated for sightseeing in the South, Dyrhólaey famous for its rich nature and birdlife, Vík village and the Folk museum at Skógar.

How to find?
Sólheimahjáleiga is by road no. 1
From Vík í Mýrdal: Leave Vík heading to Reykjavík on road no. 1. Stay on for 18.5 km. Turn right into road no. 222 (Mýrdalsjökulsvegur). Stay on for around 1 km, there you will find the farm Sólheimahjáleiga.
From Skógar: Leave Skógar and turn left into road no.1, heading to Vík. Stay on for 9.5 km. Turn left into road no. 222 (Mýrdalsjökulsvegur). Stay on for 1.3 km, there you will find the farm Sólheimahjáleiga.
