Nice farmer's guesthouse, well located by road 1. 12 rooms with private facilities in a newly built house (extra bed available). Also 6 rooms with hand basin in the older part of the house, also sleeping bag accommodation offered. Living room with TV and a spacious kitchen for the guests. Dinner is offered for house guests during summertime if booked in advance.
 
Ideal location for visiting the closest attractions such as Dyrhólaey, Mýrdalsjökull, Þakgil, Reynisfjara, Hjörleifshöfði and the folk museum at Skógar. The guesthouse is non-smoking.

How to find?              
Steig in Mýrdalur is by road no. 1 (1 km from the main road)
 
From Vík village: Leave Vík heading to Reykjavík on road no. 1. After about 15 km you need to turn right into Steigsvegur road and after about 1 km you find the farm Steig.
 
From Hvolsvöllur village: Leave Hvolsvöllur heading to Vík on road no. 1. Stay on road no. 1 for about 65 km and need to turn left into Steigsvegur road and after about 1 km you find the farm Steig.
