Hunkubakkar is by road no. 206 (1 km off road 1 – on the road to Lakagígar).
 
From Kirkjubæjarklaustur: Leave Kirkjubæjarklaustur heading to Vík on road no. 1. Stay on for 3.5 km. Turn right into 206 where you will find the farm Hunkubakkar in 1 km.
 
From Vík: Leave Vík heading to Kirkjubæjarklaustur on road no. 1. Stay on for 64 km. Turn left into road no. 206 where you will find the farm Hunkubakkar in 1 km.
