Skarð í Breiðdal is by road no. 962
 
From Egilsstaðir: Leave Egilsstaðir on road no. 1, direction Höfn village.  After about 75 km (after passing Breiðdalsheiði heath) you turn left into road no. 962.  After about 10 km you see Skarð farm.
 
From Breiðdalsvík village: Leave Breiðdalsvík on road no 1, direction Egilsstaðir village.  After only about 8 km you need to turn right into road no. 962.  After about 10 km you see Skarð farm.
