How to find?               By road no. 864

 

From Reykjahlíð village (by Lake Mývatn): Leave Reykjahlið on road no. 1 heading for Egilsstaðir.  Stay on road no. 1 for about 40 km and then turn left into road no. 864 (just after crossing the bridge over the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum). Stay on road no. 864 for about 3 km and you find Grímstunga on your right.
 

From Egilsstaðir: Leave Egilsstaðir on road no. 1, direction Akureyri/Lake Mývatn.  Stay on road no. 1 for 130 km and then you need to turn right into road no. 864 (just before crossing the bridge over the river Jökulsá á Fjöllum). Stay on road no. 864 for about 3 km and you find Grímstunga on your right.
