The accommodation at Skúlagarður is open all year round. 17 bedrooms with private facilities, including 1 room specially equipped for the disabled and 4 larger rooms, suitable for families. All the rooms are newly renovated and were taken into use in spring 2011.
Skúlagarður has a restaurant with emphasis on simple meals made from local ingredients, such as lamb, char, salmon and vegetables.
Skúlagarður is very well situated in terms of sightseeing. Many of Iceland‘s most precious attractions are located nearby, for example Jökulsárgljúfur Canyon, Dettifoss Waterfall, Hólmatungur, Hljóðaklettar and Ásbyrgi.

How to find?
Skúlagarður is by road no. 85
From Húsavík: Leave Húsavík on road no. 85 heading for Kópasker village and Jökulsárgljúfur National Park. Stay on road no. 85 for about 48 km and you find Skúlagarður on your left.
From Egilsstaðir: Leave Egilsstaðir on road no. 1, direction Akureyri/Lake Mývatn. Stay on road no. 1 for 130 km and then you need to turn right into road no. 864. Stay on road no. 864 (passing by Dettifoss waterfall) for about 55 km when you come to an intersection where you need to turn left into road no. 85. After about 15 km you find Skúlagarður on your right.
Note: Over wintertime road no 864 is closed and then you have to pass by Húsavík village (see above) to get to Skúlagarður.
From Kópasker village: Leave Kópasker on road no. 85 in direction Húsavík. After about 48 km you find Skúlagarður on your right.
