How to find?              
Öngulsstaðir is by road no. 829
 
From Akureyri: Leave Akureyri on road no. 1 heading for Húsavík/Lake Mývatn.  After only about 1 km (just after you have crossed the bridge over the fjord) you need to turn right into road no. 829.  Stay on road no. 829 for about 10 km and you will find Öngulsstaðir on your right.
