Skjaldarvik guesthouse has 19 comfortable rooms with shared bathrooms and showers. Rooms vary in size and setup.  The larger rooms have beds as well as sofa beds in order to accommodate 3-4 persons.  Many rooms have space for an extra bed if requested. Each room has its own look and charm, but the quality is always the same. Comfortable lounge and a bar with TV, library and playing cards. Outside, there are hot pots where you can relax.

From Varmahlíð: Leave Varmahlíð heading to Akureyri on road no. 1.  After about 86 km (passing over Öxnardalsheiði heath) you find Skjaldarvík on your left.
 
From Akureyri:  Leave Akureyri on road no. 1, heading for Varmahlíð. After only about 4  km you find the way to Syðri Skjaldarvík.
