This is a great place to do some hiking in beautiful lava fields nearby. Stay on the beach and enjoy the quietness of the countryside. One can also enjoy birdwatching and snorkelling (bring your own gear).

How to find?
Minna Knarrarnes is by road 420.
It takes about 15 min to drive from the airport to Minna Knarrarnes.
Driving from the terminal, after about 2 minutes you will come to an roundabout, take first exit, towards Reykjavik, road 41. After 2-3 minutes you will arrive at another roundabout, take second exit, towards Reykjavik continue on road 41. Then drive for about 10 minutes, take the exit, and turn right to VOGAR, go under the bridge and towards VOGAR. When you arrive at Vogar, turn right, you will see a sign that says VATNSLEYSUSTRÖND, road 420. That is our road, drive about 4-5 minutes then you will see our house, it has the name MINNA-KNARRARNES, big white house with red roof, by the water.
