Stekkjardalur is by road no. 726.
From Borgarnes: As you leave village Borgarnes, direction Akureyri on road no. 1 then you come to a traffic circle. Take the exit into road no 1 in direction of Akureyri. You need to drive for about 155 km on road no. 1 (passing the heath Holtavörðuheiði) before turning right onto road no. 724. Stay on road no. 724 for about 13 km, turn right onto road no. 731 and drive for about 10 km. Turn right on road 726 and drive about 1 km. Turn left towards Stóridalur and on your right hand side you see farm Stekkjadalur.
From Akureyri: You leave Akureyri on road no. 1, direction Reykjavík. Stay on road no 1 for about 160 km (passing through the villages Varmhlíð and Blönduós) before turning left into road no. 724. Stay on road no. 724 for about 13 km, turn right onto road no. 731 and drive for about 10 km. Turn right on road 726 and drive about 1 km. Turn left towards Stóridalur and on your right hand side you see farm Stekkjadalur.
