How to find?              
Snartartunga is by road no. 68.
 
From Hólmavík village: You leave Hólmavík on road no. 68, direction Reykjavík and Akureyri. After about 54 km you find Snartartunga on your right (at the end of the fjord Bitrufjörður).
 
From Borgarnes: as you leave village Borgarnes, direction Akureyri on road no. 1 then you come to a traffic circle. Take the exit into road no 1 in direction of Akureyri.  You need to drive for about 85 on road no. 1 before turning left into road no. 68 (direction Hólmavík) Stay on road no. 68 for about 60 km before you see Snartartunga on your left (in the end of the fjord Bitrufjörður).
