How to find? By road no. 514
From Reykjavík: Leave Reykjavík heading towards Akureyri on main ring road no. 1. About 15 km after you leave Reykjavík you come to the village of Mosfellsbær and when you have passed it you need to continue some 20 km before you come to the Hvalfjörður tunnel (road toll ISK 800,-) and after you have passed the tunnel you need to continue about 35 km before turning right into Borgarfjarðarbraut (road no. 50). Continue on road no. 50 for about 23 km before turning left into road no 513 and then after 0,5 km turn again left onto road no. 514 where you continue for 4 km before reaching Hvítárbakki farm.
From Borgarnes: Leaving Borgarnes heading towards Reykjavík on main ring road no. 1. As you leave Borgarnes you cross a bridge and right after the bridge you turn left into Borgarfjarðarbraut (road no. 50). Continue on road no. 50 for about 23 km before turning left into road no 513 and then after 0,5 km again turn left onto road no. 514 where you continue for 4 km before reaching Hvítárbakki farm.
