How to find?               By road no. 61

 

From Ísafjörður village: Leave Ísafjörður on road no 61 in direction to villages Súðavík and Hólmavík.  You need to drive along couple of fjords before arriving at Heydalur.  After about 120 km in total from Ísafjörður village, as you have arrived in Mjóifjörður you come to a bridge, do NOT cross it, continue on road no 633 along Mjóifjörður fjord.  After about 12 km you see Heydalur on your right.
 

From Hólmavík village: You leave Hólmavík on road no 61, direction Ísafjörður village. You pass over a the heath of Steingrímsfjarðarheiði before you arrive in the fjord Ísafjörður (not to be confused with Ísafjörður village). From Hólmavík you need to drive total of almost 100 km. Then you pass the big bridge and turn to left on road no. 633 and drive 12 km until you reach Heydalur.
