How to find?              
Kiðafell in Kjós is by road no. 47

From Reykjavík: leave Reykjavík heading towards Akureyri on main ring road no. 1.  About 15 km after you leave Reykjavík you come to the village of Mosfellsbær and when you have passed it then you need to continue about 20 km on road no. 1 before turning right into Hvalfjarðarvegur (road no. 47).  After about 3 km you need to turn right again into Eyrarfjallsvegur (road no. 460) where you continue about 1 km before you turn left into Kiðafellsvegur and there after few meters you find farm Kiðafell.

From Borgarnes - two choices:
A) via the tunnel of Hvalfjörður (road toll ISK 1000,-). 
Leaving Borgarnes heading towards Reykjavík on main ring road no. 1.  As you leave Borgarnes you continue about 43 km on road no. 1 before turning left (after the tunnel) into Hvalfjarðarvegur (road no. 47).  After about 3 km you need to turn right into Eyrarfjallsvegur (road no. 460) where you continue about 1 km before you turn left into Kiðafellsvegur and there after few meters you find farm Kiðafell.

B) via the Hvalfjörður fjord.
Leaving Borgarnes heading towards Reykjavík on main ring road no. 1.  As you leave Borgarnes you continue about 20 km on road no. 1 before turning left into Hvalfjarðarvegur (road no. 47). You continue on this road along the fjord and after some 58 km you need to turn left into Eyrarfjallsvegur (road no. 460) where you continue about 1 km before you turn left again into Kiðafellsvegur and there after few meters you find farm Kiðafell.
