Accommodation in a beautifully restored farmhouse with great views of the surrounding countryside. 

The house has 2 bedrooms and 2 sofa beds in the living room. Large veranda with a geothermal hot tub. Wireless internet. 

Excellent walking trails and salmon rivers in the area. Good location for sightseeing in West Iceland including Deildartunguhver hot spring, historic Reykholt, waterfalls Hraunfossar and Barnafoss and Langjökull Glacier. 

The northern lights are a common sight on clear winter nights.

How to find?              
Jaðar is by road no. 513
 
From Reykjavík: Leave Reykjavík heading towards Akureyri on main ring road no. 1.  About 15 km after you leave Reykjavík you come to the village of Mosfellsbær. When you have passed Mosfellsbær you need to continue some 20 km before you come to the Hvalfjörður tunnel (road toll ISK 1,000,-). After you have passed the tunnel you need to continue about 35 km before turning right onto Borgarfjarðarbraut (road no. 50). Continue on road no. 50 for about 23 km before turning left onto road no 513 and after about 3 km you will find Jaðar farm on your right.

From Borgarnes: Leave Borgarnes heading towards Reykjavík on main ring road no. 1.  As you leave Borgarnes you cross a bridge. Right after the bridge you turn left onto Borgarfjarðarbraut (road no. 50). Continue on road no. 50 for about 23 km before turning left onto road no 513 and after about 3 km you will find Jaðar farm on your right.
